Darrell Brown, Ph.D., CPA
as The Accounting Alumni Faculty Fellow

Dr. Darrell Brown, who joined the School of Business faculty in 1994, has a B.S. in Forestry from University of Montana, an MBA from University of Montana, and an Accounting Ph.D. from University of Utah.

Dr. Brown, an Associate Professor of Accounting, is a Certified Public Accountant and teaches accounting information systems and managerial accounting. His current research interests include the factors that affect decision makers' reliance on decision aids, the relationship between accounting systems and business processes, and accounting for sustainable development. His research has been published in such leading journals as California Management Review, Journal of Information Systems and International Journal of Accounting Information Systems. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Information Systems and the International Journal of Information Systems.

Dr. Brown is the first recipient of the Accounting Alumni Faculty Fellowship, which is generously supported by annual gifts from accounting alumni and friends of the School of Business.
